100% natural, HabiStat Tortoise Bedding is a blend of sterilized loam and sand specially designed for Mediterranean and African tortoise species.
The blend of aggregates has been designed to replicate as closely as possible the natural environment these species come from. The bedding retains water while maintaining a texture ideal for digging.
The added limestone provides calcium if ingested. Our range of HabiStat substrates is now packaged in 100% recyclable and biodegradable paper bags.
Available in a 10 L bag.
Directions for use: Spray at regular intervals to maintain humidity levels. Spread the substrate evenly across the base of the vivarium, ensuring a depth of 2-3" (5-7.5 cm) for small tortoises and 3-6" (7.5-15 cm). Do not overfill if using underfloor heating. Spot-clean as needed and replace regularly.
